The 89 Percent Project is a partnership between the Guardian US, Covering Climate Now, Agence France-Presse and dozens of other newsrooms across the globe. The collaboration builds on a slate of recent scientific studies finding that between 80-89% of the world’s population want stronger climate action.

A unanimous ruling by Advertising Standards of Canada has found pro-LNG ads by Canada Action guilty of Greenwashing. The ruling found that the adverts distorted statements by scientific authorities and professionals and promised results with no reliable evidence.

A report produced by the OECD and the United Nations finds that extreme weather could shrink Europe's economy by 2.3% a year after 2050. Conversely, tackling the climate crisis will increase GDP for both developing and developed countries.
